Unveiled by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the National Day Rally in 2007, the Remaking Our
Heartland (ROH) initiative was launched as a comprehensive rejuvenation blueprint to renew and further
develop existing HDB towns and estates. Through the programme, exciting plans tailored to meet the
changing needs of the community have been drawn up to revitalise HDB towns and estates, capitalising on
the distinct characteristics of each area.
- Jurong Lake ROH comprises Jurong East, Jurong West (part) and Bukit Batok (part)
- East Coast ROH comprises Bedok
Punggol, Yishun, and Dawson were the first heartland towns and estates selected in 2007 to be renewed under ROH. Subsequently, East Coast, Hougang, and Jurong Lake were selected for ROH 2 in 2011, and Toa Payoh, Woodlands, and Pasir Ris were announced for ROH 3 in 2015. Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Merah, Choa Chu Kang, and Queenstown are the next 4 towns to benefit from the ROH programme. We welcome you to view the ROH 4 plans below:
