Since the launch of the Remaking Our Heartland Initiative in 2007, Punggol has been shaping up into a waterfront town of the 21st century. In 2010, Punggol was also announced as Singapore’s first Eco-Town, with a vision of “a Sustainable Waterfront Town of the Tropics”. Since then, new key ideas were drawn up for the next phase of development in Punggol, bringing in more facilities and amenities for all residents to enjoy.
