In 2007, the "Remaking Our Heartland" initiative was launched to rejuvenate our residential towns and public housing estates to bring about a holistic transformation. In 2011, three more areas were included into the ROH 2 programme and the Jurong Lake area is one of them!

The Jurong Lake ROH plans aim to bring new life into the Jurong Lake area. In particular, there are plans to make the Jurong Lake District and Pandan Reservoir a choice leisure destination, to rejuvenate the HDB heartlands and neighbourhood centres in the area, and to create a new Jurong Regional Centre.
